    • to respond to enquiries via phone, email and web with the goal of converting enquiries into sales

    Monitor and report sales figures;
    Motivate and develop team;
    Manage day-to-day sales paperwork;
    Actively engage with sales executives in developing business;
    Initiate, develop and maintain business relationships with key clients;
    Liaise with the Business Manager, Managing Editors and Editors with regards to product and sales strategy;
    Control own portfolio of clients and increase their business in the publication;
    Maintain cross-departmental (Editorial, Production, advertising and circulation, Marketing and Finance) relationships;

    Do you have the drive, expertise and proven track record in selling advertising space?
    Do you have a minimum of one year advertising sales experience?
    Do you have an extensive client base within the lifestyle advertising field?
    Do you have an in-depth knowledge of the Cape Metro (021) area?

    We are looking for a dedicated, responsible and accountable SALES GURU to be part of our leading event management company. You need to be an open-minded creative person, who is able to source and find new leads and close deals! This role is for a dynamic, experienced sales BIG GUN who will be expected to put together a sales plan and action it. If you are not prepared to take NO for an answer and have no fear, then this position is for you.

    • Minimum of three years advertising sales experience
    • Matric/Grade 12 qualification or SAQA Accredited Equivalent a must
    • Sales or marketing diploma (IMM/AAA) will be an advantage
    • Previous auctions sales experience an advantage
    • Market knowledge and insight
    • Strong customer service ability

    Media Sales Experience advantageous
    Computer literate
    Excellent communication skills
    Professional appearance and persona.
    Excellent sales track record with a minimum of 3 years experience
