On the Dot Logistics Division requires the services of a dedicated and energetic person to fill the position of Channel Marketing Manager at their offices in Cape Town. Strong organizational, management and leadership qualities are prerequisites for this position. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, directing and co-ordinating the marketing of the Logistics Division's products and/or services (excluding subscriptions) by performing the following duties:

Responsibilities:
• Brand custodian within the logistics environment
• Support the Logistics division Sales strategy with a defined marketing strategy
• Develops and executes marketing plans and programs, both short and long range, to ensure the profit growth and expansion of the Logistics products and/or services.
• Plan and oversees the organisation's advertising and promotion activities including print, electronic, and direct mail outlets.
• Communicate with outside advertising agencies on ongoing campaigns.
• Works with writers and artists and oversees copywriting, design, layout, and production of promotional materials.
• Ensures effective control of marketing results and that corrective action takes place to be certain that the achievement of marketing objectives are within designated budgets.
• Evaluates market reactions to advertising programs to ensure the timely adjustment of marketing strategy and plans to meet changing market and competitive conditions.
• Recommends changes in basic structure and organization of marketing group to ensure the effective fulfillment of objectives assigned to it and provide the flexibility to move swiftly in relation to marketing problems and opportunities.
• Prepares marketing activity reports.
• Conducts marketing surveys on current and new product concepts.
• Source applicable external service providers, maintaining a mutually beneficial work-relationship
• Develops visibility strategies in both the business to business and informal trade environments for both on demand and time-sensitive products.
• Develop new marketing and communication channels which serves customers needs and/or expectations
• Scheduled communication to Publishers
• Guide and support the CRM department to ensure consistency with the our brand values and strategy
• Competitor analysis of the business to business and informal trade industry
• Ensure the organisation is adequately represented at trade shows, in conjunction with internal and/or external partners

Requirements
• Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent qualification
• Minimum of three to five years marketing experience
• Relevant Marketing Degree or Diploma
• Excellent planning and organising skills
• Good communication skills in Afrikaans and English
• Computer literacy, especially in MS Office and MS Outlook.
• Valid code EB(08) driver's license
