- At least 2 years relevant experience in product development
- Mechanical Experience in a specific CAD environment (Pro-Engineer preferred)

- Experience in mechanical/optical design;
- Conceptual and detail design of complex mechanical/ optical systems in a CAD System
(Pro-E, Solid Works)

- Experience in Feasibility Studies and investigation of new technologies

- Generating the complete data pack and assembly instructions, design of tools and jigs for assembly and testing.

- Product and sub-assembly development of
opto-/mechanical systems
- Define the necessary design requirements by interpretation of the product specification

- Perform feasibility and analytical studies of different conceptual designs
- Generate the complete data pack of manufacturing drawings of opto-/mechanical systems

- Ensure that the data pack contains all relevant information (tolerances) for a reliable serial production

- Industrialize the manufacturing data pack to achieve reliable, cost and time optimized assemblies and products

- Follow company policy and procedures relating to opto-/mechanical design and developments

- Assistance and generation of proposals (time & cost) for related work.
