International publisher, Fleet Street Publications, is looking for an experienced Direct Marketing Manager , who also enjoys writing, research and product development, to join their investment division.
- Develop direct marketing strategy and plans for the publishing franchise
- Compile, Edit and ensure production of publications both monthly and ad hoc
- Manage existing subscribers
- Planning and executing direct marketing campaigns across all channels
- Building and growing a business unit by researching and developing new ideas and products.
- Put together effective direct marketing projects, to increase the subscriber base, and meet response rate and ROI targets.
- Continually source new databases to test.
- Negotiating swaps and test prices with list brokers/owners and other third parties.
- Brief and develop, with copywriting and editorial, new promotional brochures.
- Briefing and liaising with suppliers such as print houses, mailing houses, data bureau's, to ensure all projects carried out effectively.
- Drafting and working with direct marketing budgets
- Ensure a suitable method is set up to enable effective capturing of results.
- Ensure all information has been put onto subscriber database, to enable effective processing of orders, and results to be collated.
- Track competitors (globally) and keep a fully updated file on promos, products, circulation's and prices.
- Proof reading all marketing and editorial copy.

Requirements
- A degree in marketing, language, publishing or similar
- Minimum three years direct marketing experience
- Excellent English language skills for copy writing, proofing and editing
- Deadline driven and detail oriented
- Able to work under pressure
• Highly organised and able to co-ordinate/juggle several tasks
• Passion for research and data analysis
• Desire to help develop new products and services
• Develop, Manage and co-ordinate entire direct marketing acquisition and retention strategy for products and services you will be responsible for
