The award winning agricultural magazine, Farmer's Weekly is searching for a Media Sales Representative

Minimum qualifications
Grade 12 however a Diploma or B Comm Degree would be an advantage

Minimum experience
Two/three years sales experience would be an advantage, preferably in magazine advertising sales.
Any experience in or knowledge of the agricultural industry will be an advantage.

Skills required
• General PR work at agricultural shows
• Excellent knowledge of the agricultural industry
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Excellent salesperson
• Fluent in English and Afrikaans (read, write and speak)
• Negotiation and networking skills
• Good administration skills
• Meet targets
• Microsoft Office Literate

Key performance areas
• Main body advertising sales to ad agencies and direct advertisers
• Branding of sponsored events on behalf of Farmers Weekly
• Build and maintain good client relationships
• Represent Farmers Weekly at sponsored events, including handing over of prizes, receiving rewards and being present in the ring in judging of animals and handing prizes over to the winners
• Keep clients informed regarding advertising opportunities in Farmers Weekly
• Liaise with the editorial team regarding the designing the advertisements and to ensure the correct publication ads
