Job description
Together with the Marketing Director, develop and manage the overall brand strategy for the brand and achieve maximum brand awareness in the market place. To be the custodian of the brand and be professional in your dealings.
Key tasks and responsibilities
• Develop and manage brand CI
• Develop and implement and manage the above the line brand communication strategy.
• Develop and implement national promotions linked to strategic partners and monitor the performance.
• Develop and manage all strategic initiatives - product, consumer, media and geographical.
• Maintain and update the monthly brand report
• To manage and implement pricing strategies for the brand.
• Menu design and implementation.
• Stay abreast of national and international competitor product/innovation trends. Conduct regular competitor visits and report back to marketing team.
• Conduct regular store visits
• Manage the brand PR - internal and external
• Support to develop and implement the strategic marketing and communication plan.
• Liaise with advertising agencies and suppliers on ATL advertising and promotional campaigns

Requirements
• Minimum Matric with a relevant tertiary qualification.
• Minimum of five years experience in the retail or FMCG industry with a strong track record of success
• Previous brand experience within franchising would be an advantage.
• Understanding of South African media environment.
• Intensive knowledge of the emerging market
