The Communications GM works in close alignment with Marketing, External Affairs and other functions to lead the development and deployment of integrated, multi-stakeholder strategic communications programs that:
Drive employee engagement and pride
Strengthen and protect the brand and company reputation
Position the company's models and technologies to support sales and loyalty programmes
Help to solve key strategic business issues
Support the development of customer and other engagement via new digital and experiential initiatives
Leverage economic value add with key external stakeholders and maintain and enhance union/employee leadership team relations

Advantageous
Honours degree in Journalism or Public Relations, MBA advantageous
At least 10 years experience in a communications role, five of which is at Senior Manager Level. This should include extensive media relations experience with an emphasis on brand, corporate and product communications and acknowledged track record of results
Experience in other areas of the marekting mix eg above the line, band management will be an advantage
Excellent verbal and written skills, must be able to function under pressure
Strong track record in issues and crisis communications
