The advertising department has a vacancy for the above mentioned position. Reporting to the Auctions/Features/Supplements Sales Manager, the incumbent will be responsible for the effective representation of The Citizen to direct Auction clients within the Gauteng Area.

Requirements for the position:
• Minimum of three years advertising sales experience
• Matric/Grade 12 qualification or SAQA Accredited Equivalent a must
• Sales or marketing diploma (IMM/AAA) will be an advantage
• Previous auctions sales experience an advantage
• Market knowledge and insight
• Strong customer service ability
• Strong negotiation skills
• Be able to entertain clients at a senior level
• Must be able to establish and maintain business relationships
• Be able to cold canvass
• Must be target driven
• Strong Admin Skills
• Planning skills
• Team player
• Own transport a must
• Own cell phone
• Computer literate
• Drivers licence a must

Key responsibilities:
• Customer analysis
• Proposal writing
• Maintaining a high profile to clients
• Ensuring targets are met and exceeded
• Growing existing business from clients
• Ensuring growth in S.O.M.
• Innovating new business opportunities
• Co-ordinate bookings and own material
