Business Development Consultant

Your main responsibilities will be to generate and increase feature partners and to reach and exceed company targets. Through a consultative approach to client management and sales you will understand your clients business in order to construct a mutually beneficial offer to our subscribers to increase their customer base and generate upsell. You will become a vital part of your clients marketing and business plans.

Responsibilities include but not limited to;
Creatively identify new businesses and activities to be featured, expanding the range of offers for our subscribers.

Organise meetings with prospective businesses, negotiating attractive offers for our subscribers.
Present Groupon as the unique opportunity for businesses to acquire new customers.
Achieve revenue and profit targets through consultative sales.
Proactively seek out new opportunities whilst maintaining relationships with established clients to build and maintain a portfolio of preferred partners.
Superlative vuvuzela skills and ability to sing the alphabet backwards are an added advantage!

Required skills:
Minimum of 3 years sales experience, preferably in a fast paced sector
High standard of communication and presentation skills
Understanding of Groupon business model
Ability to apply an intelligent sales pitch
Self-motivation, flexibility and ability to sell at all decision-making levels
Knowledge of social media such as Facebook and Twitter
Bachelor degree desirable
Overarching desire to become an integral part of the fastest growing company in the world!

Successful candidates will earn a competitive basic salary plus uncapped commission.
