Job description
Essentially the purpose of the job is to direct the strategy, design and execution of local fully integrated marketing programmes to support the growth of the company's Technology, Communications and High Tech business practices. This individual will be responsible for taking overall ownership of all new media marketing channels and client CRM/database programmes.
Roles and responsibilities:
Develop and implement a marketing and communications campaigns in line with company strategies and objectives.
Drive low cost/high awareness impact campaigns to drive sales
Ensure marketing programmes are strategic, measurable, sales driven and innovative, through the utilisation of new media and creative out of the box thinking.
Assist in formulation of external/external communications strategies and plans, with the emphasis on driving thought leadership pertaining to technology in Africa
Develop technology messaging and marketing collateral materials at industry and cross-industry group level
Defining and tracking metrics to assess the effectiveness of marketing programmes and initiatives
Manage relevant marketing budgets as well as supervise direct/indirect support resources.
Overall responsibility for corporate website, other external Internet domains as well as client CRM database.
Requirements
Relevant marketing/IT qualification
10-15 years experience in marketing, preferably in technology/professional services/ telecommunications
A seasoned marketing professional with multiple proven strategic campaign execution experience.
Solid experience in business to business marketing and communication within the technology sector
Experience in networking and building relationships in the local African market and on an International basis.
Able to influence highest levels of leadership within a matrixed organisation through relationship building and strong executive-level presence.
Sound knowledge and execution of brand advertising and brand management, internal communication, media relations, direct marketing, lead generation campaigns, events and sponsorships, collateral / credentials development.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an eye for detail
Sound project management experience
Ability to work autonomously and independently, yet integrate appropriately with local and global corporate community of practice groups
Thrive on working in intense, deliverable-driven and deadline-driven environment.
