Our client is a leading direct marketing company. They require an accomplished AA marketing manager. Reporting to the CEO, you will develop, establish and maintain effective management of the marketing, advertising and promotional activities of the business. Evaluate customer research, market conditions, competitor data and set marketing budget based on historical performance and market conditions. You will be responsible for the timeous provision of correct and adequate intelligence for use in strategic management decisions.

Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities:
Determine and manage the marketing budget
Plan and carry out direct marketing activities to agreed budgets, sales volumes, values, product mix and timescales.
Maintain and develop acquisition strategies across multiple channels to acquire budgeted new customers for the business.
Develop and maintain a retention strategy through marketing and customer services programs (loyalty)
Develop our social networking strategy and drive new online initiatives for both members and non members.
Oversee electronic marketing efforts including supervision of Web site design and maintenance.
Analysis of customer research, current market conditions and competitor information.
Oversee corporate communications activities of the business.
Develop and administer marketing database which includes client and prospect information, mailing list applications etc.
Ensure compliance with current legislation through legal networks and co-ordinate business activities with these entities.
Design and plan and report on quarterly marketing sales/promotional activities across multiple channels (print and digital media)
Oversee the CSI projects and all PR events
Manage team of six marketing staff, various free lancers and contractors.

Requirements
Education and Experience:
Business or marketing-related degree or equivalent professional qualification
Proven experience in customer and market research
Experience in Direct Marketing business
Proven track record of effectiveness and at least five years in marketing manager role within professional services environment.
Able to understand profit and loss calculations and basic business finance, e.g., gross margin percentages and calculations, cash-flow, overheads, etc.
Understands the principles of marketing and advertising cost-effectiveness, including targeted marketing, product offer development, cost per member, cost per conversion, etc. Appreciates need for consistency within company's branding and marketing mix, especially PR and the Internet.

Required Skills:
Must be a self-starter, highly organized, and able to work well at all levels in the organisation. Must possess top level business management, interpersonal, and facilitation skills. Results-oriented with a positive outlook, and a clear focus on high quality and business profit. A natural forward planner who critically assesses own performance. Reliable, tolerant, and determined. Empathic communicator. Well presented and businesslike.
Needs good knowledge of Microsoft Office and Windows-based computer applications and be internet savvy.
Two/three years experience in online marketing is an advantage.
