Operations Manager with Marketing experience
Our client an organisation dealing with telecommunications equipment seeks an operations professional with marketing experience.

Purpose:
The key role is to look at ways of increasing consumer awareness of our product and in turn driving consumer demands of our product resulting in sell thru. End business objective and required results are to be borne in mind at all times.

Scope:

Authorities:
The person in this role has budget responsibility and legitimacy to implement strategy.

Accountability:
Ensures focus on Market Share growth within all accounts and channels (direct & indirect).
Develops and maintains relationships with customers, as well as being able to operate effectively at all levels and across all business functions. Is accountable for the development and maintenance of the MU account plans to build a sustainable and profitable account strategy.
Increase market share per operating channel in line with Market Unit (MU) and company Strategy.
Increase brand purchase consideration in MU South Africa.
Manage budget and evaluate spend on campaigns per campaign on a quarterly basis.
Monthly best practice report to be completed per category and per customer.
Ensure campaigns are planned in advance and executed on time.
Submit monthly reports.
Manage relationships with Media, ATL, BTL agencies ensuring company's best interest and evaluate and manage costs.
Regular meetings with agencies to address performance and objectives.
Attend weekly status meetings.
Active sell and bundling options done on a quarterly basis.
Keep abreast of competitor and industry news.
Managing budget spend with full ROI being completed per business case.
Increase share in operator spend with regards to their handset manufacturers split and spend. This will include co-op promotions with the operators as well as representation in broadsheets directly with operators and directly with dealers.
Monitor progress on events, campaigns with agencies to ensure deadlines are met.
Give input in the forecasting process.

Requirements
Job prerequisites:
Four to six years operations and Marketing Manager experience
Must have budget and media experience
A background in the telecommunications industry would be advantageous
