JOB SUMMARY:
Promotes and sells educational and related products in assigned territory.
Maintains a healthy and positive relationship with new and current clients. Acts as a local liaison person with all customers of both product courseware and PSS programmes in assigned territory.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES:
Client Services Duties
- Make sales and marketing calls to local customers.
- Provides necessary technical and training support assistance to the client.
- Coordinate and facilitate user group and marketing meetings.
- Acts as the local product resource for handling client issues.
Product Knowledge
- Participate in assigned product training.
- Deliver the product Science Simulations and other assigned products presentations effectively and accurately to all customers.
- Understand product Science Simulations competition, their competitive advantages, and why opportunities are won and lost.
- Alert product management if a customer has a need for a product or service that is not currently offered in the territory.
Marketing Duties
- Visit customers in targeted sales area
- Schedule and coordinate site visits for proposals.
- Coordinate mailings / open houses / seminars
- Coordinate and work tradeshows
- Qualify leads provided by Sales Support.
Support Duties
- Generate correspondence, proposals (including responses to RFP's), and Client Order Forms.
- Schedule and confirm own appointments
- Coordinate and manage marketing supplies and materials.
- Maintain lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads.
Additional duties:
Demonstrate all Product Learning products.
Education and/or experience
- Bachelor's degree with three to five years of sales experience or equivalent.
- Knowledge of grade 9 to 12 Science and Biology Curriculum
- Experience in education industry preferred
- English speaking
Specialised knowledge and skills
- Effective communication, presentation, organisational and planning skills.
- Effective interpersonal skills to work as a team member and as a liaison with customers.
- Strong knowledge of teaching techniques and product features.
- PCs, spreadsheets and various other software applications used as required.
