Our client is a global cutting edge Fashion Accessories business who is expanding and needs to recruit key staff for their brand new state of the art offices in the Southern Suburbs.

They have a key role for an Assistant Accountant to:
• Reconcile and maintain balance sheet accounts
• Prepare journal entries
• Reconcile accounts and bank statements
• Assist with preparations of monthly financial reports/statement
• Assist with accounts receivable and accounts payable
• Assist with implementing and maintaining internal financial controls and procedures

You will need:
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting at a recognised Academic Institution
• Minimum of two years relevant experience in a quality business.
• Experience in JD Edwards and SAP will be an advantage.
• High level of numeracy and the ability to deal accurately with calculations of a complex nature.
• Ability to communicate information accurately, clearly and in a simple manner which is easily understood.
• Pays attention to detail.
• Ability to organise, schedule and adapt work tasks to meet conflicting deadlines and respond to changing situations.
• Should have the ability to extract information accurately and interpret the data.
• Meet deadlines under pressure and use their initiative to organise and prioritise workload.
• Passionate about people and meeting and satisfying their needs.
• An excellent communicator with clear and professional telephone skills.
• Outstanding knowledge of Office software and ability to draw up spreadsheets.
• Be analytical and have the ability to make decisions and solve problems.
• Extremely strong services focus and results orientation.
