Key Duties & Responsibilities:
This entails daily and monthly reconciliations of the Card account and resolving any issues relating to this account as well as reporting on trends, ensuring that all financial and store adjustments are captured on time and that Company policies and controls relating to Cards are adhered to. This role is also responsible for ensuring the optimal performance of the Branch Accounting Card team and all other functions and duties related to an Assistant Accountant position.
Skills, Experience & Education:
A BComm Degree (preferably) or alternatively, a completed National Diploma majoring in Accounting
Two years experience in an assistant accountant or similiar financial accounting position. This experience should include the reconciliations of Daily and Monthly store transactions, exposure to credit control and leading a team.
Ability to communicate effectively in English (verbal and written communication) at all levels.
Computer literacy to an advanced stage
Exposure in the retail industry and financial systems will also be a definite advantage.
